WALKABILITY

Flemington was largely developed before the advent of the automobile and because of this, most of our town is easily accessible by walking or biking. Unfortunately, unless you can survive solely off of antique shops and hair salons, most of our needs are outside of the Borough and require crossing at least one highway. The more needs that can be met by walking or biking means less traffic, less noise, less pollution, higher property values, higher tax revenues, safer streets, less social isolation and more! It also increases opportunity and accessibility for those who can't drive and saves you money on gas and car maintenance.

As your councilman I will work to bring our needs within walking distance. This means prioritizing smart land use, planning, and street design to encourage human-scale development within our Borough. We must focus more of our efforts to bring businesses and services within the core of the Borough and less along highways.

AFFORDABILITY

Here's a few facts:

Costs are rising for Borough residents and the highest cost for any family is housing. You shouldn't have to pay 50%+ of every paycheck just to keep a roof over your head. Borough residents deserve safe and clean homes for prices they can afford. As your councilman I will work to keep this Borough affordable for its residents through whatever means possible and ensure those living here don't get priced out.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our town alone might not be able to stop climate change, but I believe we should do everything in our power as a municipal government to mitigate its ever growing effects. Summers are getting hotter, winters are getting colder and storms are getting stronger. We need to prepare our town with better stormwater management, incentivizing green building practices, and promoting micromobility initiatives like e-bikes.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

A thriving Flemington centers on nurturing small businesses in the heart of our community, creating jobs, and making our Borough a walkable destination. A focus on our core areas not only fosters a strong local job market but also offers places residents want to go, whether for work, shopping, or enjoyment. A strong Main St. serves our residents and attracts visitors, bringing additional revenue and vitality to Flemington.
